What a happy day. Kris and Katja had a small wedding in Nunspeet. Their day was filled with love and family. I feel so very privileged to have shared this day with them. Wish you both the very best!

Oh! Are they cute or what? I just look at these photos and I can feel the love. I met this lovely pair while photographing one of their neighbors. I have a huge confession to make. I have never done an engagement or wedding session before. The thought excites and scares me all at the same time. So when Kris and Katja asked me if I would be interested in photographing their wedding, I smiled and giggled (that’s what I do when I am nervous) and told them no. I agreed to come by in a few days though to bring a list of wedding photographers that I admire. But after talking to them and hearing about their wedding plans I finally said yes.

Summer Fun

I cannot remember when I laughed so hard! This was such a fun family and I had a blast photographing them. These two sisters wanted a family portrait to give to their parents for their wedding anniversary. They were vacationing together so I agreed to meet them on location and crash their holiday!! Woo Hoo some days; I have the best job ever!

At last…

I just love me a chunky babie. You just want to squeeze them. I am sure she will get lots of squeezes and maybe a few pinches from her 4 older brothers.

One done and one in the oven

I love sessions like these, high energy, wonderful weather, and tons of laughs. It’s a really great that feeling when you get clients who get it. They have picked you because they like your style and creativity and they are eager to be a part of it. We had such a blast. Damian their son quickly became my 2^nd shooter for the day. He captured some great shots of his parents and some rather embarrassing ones of me! I cannot wait to catch up with them again when their little bump arrives.

The more the merrier

This was the first time I have worked with twins. I am somewhat fascinated by them. The thought of having to share everything with someone is comforting and at the same time a bit daunting. I think I would never sleep, not only from having to do double the work but also from just wanting to watch how these two little boys interact with each other.

Nesting

I dropped by to see Kim, who you might remember, from some earlier posts. She was very excited! She just finished the baby room and you know me always ready with the camera. I cannot wait to come back when their little girl arrives. Update: the day after my visit Kim gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

Tea for two, three, or four

This session was so much fun! I had met Kyara before when her baby brother was born. However on that day she did not feel very photogenic. So I promised her I would come back and we would have a tea party…..and no babies or boys would be allowed. I brought my camera, Kyara invited some friends and the fun began.

Ooohh pretties…

I get so excited when I see the delivery man. It’s this mix of nervous giddiness and eager anticipation which makes me feel like a kid on Christmas morning. You know what you have made, you have shared it with your clients, you have send it out to the printers and then about a week later these lovely little birth announcement cards arrive. There is something so satisfying to an artist to see the things you create come to life.
